Belle Meade Fall Festival

We had a fabulous time at this event this past weekend.  Many potential new students to learn Crochet.

I was impressed by the number of Mother – Daughter enthusiasts.  What a wonderful way to bond with each other!

Kay Grott featured in Style Blueprint

Yarn: Kay Grott

Kay Grott is from Nashville, and she has a fine eye when it comes to yarn. She beams about yarns from Italy and France. All the while, what I am noticing is that her crochet designs are GORGEOUS. This is not standard craft show fare. Kay’s work makes you instantly understand the difference between good and great. Kay is GREAT. In fact, her studio is called a “couture crochet studio” where “the primary focus is on one-of-a-kind unique quality garments.”

Kay will be at the SB Gifts and Accessories Show with ornaments, scarves, blankets, mittens, hats and perhaps a sweater or two…or more! Quite frankly, we can’t wait to see all that she brings for the show. You will also be able to purchase made-to-order garments at the show.

A special treat will be talking to Kay about her mother-daughter crochet lessons. If you have daughters like mine, this just may be the perfect Christmas or Holiday gift.

Camp Idyllwild’s Crochet Camp with Kay

One thing I really love about running our camp is seeing the photos at the end of the day. I personally don’t get to play outside at camp with all the kids every day like Eric does (but for a few days here and there when I can get away from my “day job”), so when I get home, after the evening routine and before planning the next day’s activities for camp, I review the pictures. Last night I loved seeing all the photos of campers learning to crochet. read full blog post here on Camp Idyllwild’s Blog
